BirdLife and a number of partner charities reached out to us to create a hero film and supporting social assets to drive action for the #RestoreNature campaign, raising awareness of the Nature Restoration Law and inspiring a broad, multilingual audience across Europe to vote in favour of the law to protect wildlife environments.
We wanted to tug on our audience's heartstrings, focusing on the world that they would leave behind for future generations if wildlife enviornments weren't restored. To do this we focused on a children's storybook approach, with a visually rich blend of cinematic stock footage and painterly animation brought to life through rhyming narration. The film follows a child’s evolving connection to nature, evoking wonder, concern, and hope. Strategic visuals and emotional storytelling guided audiences from enchantment to action, supported by multilingual adaptations and platform-specific assets tailored for maximum campaign impact.
The campaign was launched cross-platform driving positive sentiment with Bird Life's key audiences and helping to address some of the misinformation that was being found online. Fundamentally the law was passed in European Parliament helping to restore nature across Europe.
