Millennium Seed Bank

Wakehurst, Kew Gardens

David Attenborough described Wakehurst as “the most important conservation initiative ever”. And yet, most people haven't heard of it, and fewer get the opportunity to visit. Wakehurst came to us wanting a video to act as a virtual tour - raising awareness of the vital work that they do and allowing those who wouldn't get the opportunity to visit to understand their unique site.

We spent two days speaking to scientists involved in each step of the seed conservation process to offer a virtual tour of the venue and bring viewers behind the curtain of conservation.

Our films not only raised awareness of the conservation importance, but it increased visitors to the seed bank where the long form video is shown daily. Social media cutdowns received above average engagement for their channels and the 20 minute video has 10,000 views. A popular YouTuber shared a reaction video to the long-form content which itself has over 13,000 views and positive sentiment.
