Increasing publicity and income to fund Wakehurst's pioneering conservation initiative.

David Attenborough described Wakehurst as “the most important conservation initiative ever”. And yet, most people haven't heard of it, and fewer get the opportunity to visit.
We spent two days speaking to scientists involved in each step of the seed conservation process, capturing their insight on why the work was so important and showing their work. This offered a virtual tour of the seed bank to bring viewers behind the curtain of conservation.
This not only raised awareness of the importance of seed banks, but also increased visitors. Alongside the documentary film, social media cutdowns draw on popular themes and received above average engagement for Wakehurst. The 20 minute video has 10,000 views, with a popular YouTuber even sharing a video of him reacting to the content online which itself has over 13,000 views and positive engagements.
