In recent decades, dementia research has reached many breakthroughs, but this isn't always tangible to the general public. The absence of an effective treatment can make the public feel hopeless, even as many contributing advancements take place behind the scenes.

To re-energise the public we drew on one of the most awe-inspiring moments in recent memory: the mission to land on the moon. Comparing this to the pursuit for a dementia treatment helped remind our viewers that landing on the moon wasn’t one Ione large breakthrough, but the result of a million little breakthroughs.

This created a sense of momentum that encouraged our viewer to donate as they felt they could genuinely make an impact and help fund a new dementia cure.
